Store Policy

STORE POLICIES

PRE-ORDERS

Smart and Sassy Looks (SSL) will provide customers the opportunity to make advance orders on certain merchandise we have ordered, but not yet received in our inventory.  The pre-order procedure is as follows:

  • Items available for pre-order will be identified on the website. 
  • Customers should order the item and either pay in full; or, use one of the available pre-order codes at checkout in order to provide a downpayment.  Codes are “25Down” and “50Down” for 25% and 50% downpayments.  Allowable codes will be noted on the pre-order page for each brand.
  • SSL will remove the item from the available stock and hold for the purchaser.
  • When the item arrives in inventory, SSL will ship any fully paid items; or, notify the customer via a PayPal invoice of any remaining balance.
  • Customers with more than 50% of the total order due will have 14 days to provide a total downpayment of 50%.  Partial payment may be made via PayPal.
  • Customers with 50% or less of the total order due will have 60 days to pay the remaining balance.
  • After the subject due dates, the downpayment will be forfeited and the items will be returned to inventory, unless other arrangements are agreed upon.
  • When the balance is paid in full, SSL will ship the order.
  • Swanky Lady Vintage pre-orders may be returned for full credit within 10 days with approved return authorization (see Return Policy).

 

When you pre-order an item, it is no longer available for our other customers to order and we may re-stock our inventory to replace the item you have reserved.  As such, you may exchange pre-ordered items for a different size; or, if the size is not available we may issue a store credit valid for 90 days, but there will be NO REFUNDS on pre-order items.  Cancellations of pre-order items will be subject to a cancellation fee of 25% of the item. 

If an item available for pre-order is no longer available in your size, please email us at customerservice@smartandsassylooks.com and we will place you on a wait list.  Individuals on the wait list will be contacted in the event more inventory becomes available. 

INVENTORY

While SSL strives to keep an accurate inventory, there may be an occasion where a customer purchases a product that is no longer in our inventory.  In such a case, we will attempt to locate the item and fulfill the order; however, a delay in shipping time may be incurred.  If we cannot fulfill the order, we will issue a refund for the item and at your request other related items in your order.   SSL will notify you in either case to keep you informed of your order status.

In the event you are interested in a product for which we are out of stock, please email us.  We may have additional inventory, not shown on the website, or we may be able to re-order for you.

ORDER QUANTITY

In order to ensure products are not unnecessarily held by individuals and made unavailable to our customer base, SSL may restrict the quantity of products ordered by one individual or address.

YOUR ONLINE ACCOUNT

Customers will have the opportunity to create an account which will store their address, contact, information, and their order status and history.  If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and for restricting access to your computer and account.  Your account will be password protected.

If you forget your password, you may have your password reset using the following steps:

  • Go to “Sign In”
  • Click on “Forgot your password”.
  • Enter your email address. 
  • Address must exactly match that used when the account was created.
  • An email will be sent to your email address informing you of the status and giving you a link.
  • Follow the link which will return you to the sign in page.
  • A message on the sign in page will direct you to a second email sent to your email address.
  • Check the second email and it will have a temporary random generated password.
  • Return to Sign In and enter your new password.

To change your password from an existing or temporary password follow these steps:

  • Sign in
  • Under My Account select “Your Account Details”
  • Enter a new password at “password” and confirm the password at “confirm password”.
  • Click “Update my details”

GIFT CERTIFICATES

Gift certificates may be purchased online and emailed to a recipient of the customer’s choice.  Each gift certificate will be coded with a number which the consumer will need to use at the checkout process.  Any unused value on a gift certificate will be stored for use at a later date.

Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash, nor can they be returned for a cash refund.  A gift certificate can not be used to purchase a gift certificate.  Accuracy of the recipient’s email address is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.  SSL is not responsible for lost gift certificates.

PRIVACY

Smart and Sassy Looks (SSL) works hard to ensure your privacy.  SSL does not sell your personal information to other companies.  SSL works with reputable third parties who perform services on our behalf.  Sometimes these service providers need information about our customers in order to do their jobs, such as maintain and manage our customer database, report on consumer trends, fulfill orders and conduct promotions.  When SSL allows these service providers to access your information, we require them to maintain this information in confidence and do not permit them to use the information in any other way than to help us provide you with better service.

You will have the opportunity during your shopping experience to provide your email address and other contact information.  These opportunities are at checkout, account creation, newsletter signup, and through direct email or other communication with us.  We will use your email address to communicate with you and convey our products, services, and offers.  If you do not wish to receive these communications, you can opt out by unsubscribing or by notifying us at sales@smartandsassylooks.com.

SIZING

Variances in sizes can occur as a result of the production process.  While most designers use standard size charts, it is not uncommon for designers or brands to vary from the standard whether it be the entire brand or individual items in a brand.  If we are aware of any brands that do not run true to size, then we will note such in this policy or on the individual brand page.

We have many imported brands which have sizes different from the standard U.S. size charts.  Conversion charts are provided for imports.

COLORS, ERRORS & INACCURACIES

Although SSL has made every effort to display our products and their colors as accurately as possible, the displayed colors of the products will depend upon the monitor of the user, and SSL cannot guarantee that the user’s monitor will accurately portray the actual colors of the products. 

SSL is not responsible for typographical errors regarding price or any other matter.  On occasion it may become apparent SSL or their suppliers have listed incorrect information concerning price, photographs or product information.  In the event an error is discovered, SSL will notify the customer and allow the customer to either cancel the order or adjust the payment or options accordingly.  SSL has the right to refuse or cancel any orders listed with incorrect information, including price, whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card or financial information processed.  If you have been charged and your order is cancelled, we will immediately issue a credit to your credit card for the cancelled amount.

POLICY UPDATES

Smart and Sassy Looks may update our policies from time to time. When we make a change, the updated policy will be posted on this site.  We encourage you to check our policy periodically.
